Welcome to birdro.com!
My husband Mark and I live in the southeast U.S. with our lovely daughters, Amelia and Florence. We also share our lives with a lab(ish) goofball of a dog named Shelby.
I’ve caught it.
We have been passing a nasty stomach bug around the library. It seems that as soon as one of us gets over it and comes back to work, someone else is out sick. I thought I could hold out, by taking vitamins and drinking lots of water, but it seems that I have succumbed. At least it’s not The Flu. We’re passing that around as well.
What I don’t understand is why people feel the need to venture out into public when they are sick. I can’t tell you how many people come up to the check-out counter coughing and sniffling or clutching their stomach and saying “I don’t want to get too close to you – I’ve got the flu/a stomach bug/a bad cold/the black plague/leprosy/whatever and I feel horrible”.
IF YOU FEEL SO BAD WHY ARE YOU LEAVING YOUR HOUSE?????? Do you want to infect the rest of the world so that you do not have to be miserable all by yourself? I do not appreciate having caught your nasty illness, and I would rather you keep it to yourself next time.
