 28 Weeks

I’ve gotten quite a bit bigger in the last four weeks. The most exciting development – Mark can feel her kicking now! Some nights we just sit and watch our daughter moving around – it’s so amazing. I keep waiting to see a foot or an elbow!

Some not so exciting news: I have developed Gestational Diabetes. I test my blood sugar 4 times a day, and I also must give myself insulin shots twice a day. I have to stick to a fairly strict snack and meal schedule, but it’s really not that bad. I have to eat a certain number of carbohydrates for each meal and snack, and most days I have a hard time getting in all of my carbs – I feel full ALL THE TIME!!! Starting at 32 weeks, I will go twice weekly for a Fetal Non-Stress Test, and I will most likely be induced 7 to 10 days before my due date.

Keep on growing Baby Girl!

I hope you’re getting used to your new scheduled diet and finding good things to eat. Just wait…one day your little girl will roll over and your whole belly will move.
