Shelby

Whenever I am getting Amelia ready for bed, Shelby brings one of her favorite toys into Amelia’s room and stays with me until Amelia is asleep – it’s like she feels it’s her duty to put Amelia to bed! After we have put Amelia down in the evenings, Shelby has started sneaking into her room. When we put her to sleep, we leave her door open just a crack so that any music or TV sounds from the living room don’t wake her. Often times when Mark and I go back to bed, Amelia’s door is wide open from one of Shelby’s visits. We think she just feels she needs to check to see that Amelia is still all right. I feel bad when I fuss at her for going in there, but once Amelia’s finally sleeping we REALLY don’t want to disturb her!
