Reading

Last night I gave a book to Amelia just so she could pay around with it, and the next time I looked at her this is what I saw.

What a cutie! I know she’s not really reading, but she seems to know just what to do, doesn’t she? When I read books to her, she helps me turn the pages and she always turns the right-hand page. Also, when we read a book I see her looking at the left-hand page first before she turns her head to look at the right-hand page. Maybe it’s just because we do it so often, but it really seems like she has caught on that you read from left to right, and that you always turn the page from right to left.

I know I might seem biased, but I think my genius baby will be an early reader, just like me!
