Welcome to birdro.com!
My husband Mark and I live in the southeast U.S. with our beautiful two year-old, Amelia. We also share our lives with a lab(ish) goofball of a dog named Shelby.
On Saturday morning we headed up to Good Daylilies to take a look at their beautiful garden. They grow over 1,700 gorgeous daylilies and many of them are for sale. Mark and I picked out a special daylily for Amelia called “Prairie Blue Eyes”. It has one bud that looks like it will bloom tomorrow or Tuesday (I’ll be sure to take pictures).
Mark took some great photos – just click on the image below to view them all!

Once we got home and ate lunch, I headed out to run a few errands. When I got home Mark told me that Amelia had been pretty upset while I was gone. Apparently the only thing he could do to keep her happy was to blow raspberries at her. After I nursed her she calmed down and was just relaxing in her bouncy seat. Then, out of the blue, she started blowing raspberries! I guess she learned that from her daddy!
Raspberries AND toes at the same time!
This morning we went to church and Amelia babbled and blew raspberries throughout the entire service. I finally had to take her out into the foyer because she was being too noisy during prayer! We went to a picnic on the church lawn after the service, and Amelia was wonderful the entire time we were there. She just cruised around in Grandma B’s arms, charming everyone she met!
We came home and tried to take a Sunday afternoon nap. The only problem? Someone forgot to give our little chatterbox the message! She was just lying in between us, grabbing her toes and talking up a storm. We didn’t get our nap, but what we did get was a few laughs, some wonderful memories, and lots of raspberries!
Cutest chatterbox I’ve ever seen!
