Weekend Wrap Up

November 22nd, 2009

On Friday morning, as Amelia was looking out the window, she realized that there was a little girl out there who looked just like her!

This video makes me think of Amelia’s cousin A and the “little boy in the fireplace.” Also, how cute is she when she dances?!?

On Friday afternoon Amelia and I made pumpkin bread while listening to Christmas music. While the bread was baking, we went outside to enjoy the almost 60 degree weather.

Amelia was very happy to be outside!

In a span of about 10 minutes she acquired a nice little pile of leaves. I thought she would be crawling all over the yard, but she kept her diapered behind firmly planted on the sidewalk and raked in all of the leaves within her reach.

On Saturday we went to Babies ‘R’ Us to try out a new car seat for Amelia. Grandma G and Grandpa D are buying Amelia a “big girl” seat for her birthday, and we had to find one that fits in our car. We decided on the Britax Marathon – it has a rear facing weight limit of 35 pounds, and a forward facing limit of 65 pounds. We are planning to keep Amelia rear facing until she hits 35 pounds and are hoping she will be comfortable in her new car seat – she should be able to use it for years to come!

Once we got home from our errands, we took Shelby outside so she could run around in the yard. Amelia went right back to her leaf pile from the day before. Mark took a few pictures and had some fun editing them – just click to enlarge!

On Saturday afternoon Mark surprised me by taking me to see New Moon! I was sure that it would be months before we would be able to see it, but he took me on opening weekend. Grandma and Grandpa B came down and had a fun time with Shelby and Amelia while Mark and I had a movie date. What a wonderful guy!

On Sunday afternoon I made some delicious Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies. They’re so tasty that I am going to have to get them out of the house so I don’t eat them all. I think Amelia and I will take some down to the library tomorrow!

Mark did some work on birdro.com this weekend. It should now be much easier to view the site on mobile devices (iPhone, Android and Blackberry). If you encounter any problems please let us know!
