Weekend Wrap Up

On Friday we put up our Christmas decorations!

We have an artificial tree with blue & white lights, strings of Norwegian flags and exactly nine child-friendly ornaments. We left all of our breakable ornaments boxed up, and we’ll see about using them next year. We did decorate our little fake houseplant with a few breakable ornaments, though; since it sits in a corner and Amelia doesn’t seem to notice that it’s there, we’re hoping she’ll continue to leave it alone.

Amelia liked playing with our gingerbread house. Above Amelia’s head you’ll see our stockings – since we don’t have a mantle, they are hung on the wall sconces with care!

For an afternoon snack, Amelia enjoyed her first cookie – pumpkin chocolate chip! It was fresh from the oven and she LOVED it.

On Saturday morning Amelia lounged on the couch with a book.

Later in the day, Amelia’s new car seat was delivered! She crawled right over and climbed in as soon as we got it out of the box. She seems to love it!

After church on Sunday we had lunch with Grandma and Grandpa B and then spent a few hours up at their house. Even though she didn’t nap all afternoon, Amelia was in a good mood most of the day. What a wonderful weekend!
