Weekend Wrap Up

I had planned on surprising Mark with a date to see Avatar in 3D on Saturday, but our plans fell through. Grandma and Grandpa B were supposed to babysit Amelia while Mark and I were on our date, but both Grandma B and Amelia were sick. Grandma B has a bronchial infection that was triggered by some allergies, and Amelia has a cold. Grandma B was still willing to come watch Amelia, but we didn’t want to take the chance of Amelia sharing her cold with Grandma B. Mark and I will just try for a movie date another time, once everyone is feeling their best!

Mark made Amelia some fresh squeezed tangelo juice. She really enjoyed it, although she got so much of it on her shirt that we had to do a mid-day wardrobe change!

Because she wasn’t feeling her best, not much would keep Amelia happy. She did have a lot of fun with a box of tissues, though! I really hope our poor girl gets to feeling better soon. Normally she doesn’t want to be held, but her cold made her such a cuddlebug – she didn’t want to be put down.

Amelia seemed to be feeling a bit better on Sunday, but her nose was still a little runny. The three of us stayed in our PJ’s all day, and had a lot of fun playing together!
