Weekend Wrap Up

On Friday morning daddy made Amelia her very own cape out of an old sleepsack! She had a great time “flying” around the house, holding onto an empty milk jug. Daddy is so creative – he thinks of really fun things to do!

On Friday afternoon Amelia and I made snickerdoodle cookies – Mark’s birthday is on Monday, and snickerdoodles are his favorite. Amelia seemed to love them – she ate two for a snack!

On Saturday Mark and I celebrated his birthday by going to see Iron Man 2! We had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed the movie and being able to spend time with each other. Amelia stayed with Grandma and Grandpa B while we were gone, and helped create a vegetable garden for Grandma! Amelia loves being outside and playing in the dirt. Take a look at the second picture – she definitely looks like a redhead to me! Before we left to head home, we all tried on some really funny glasses that Grandma had – Amelia looks so funny!

For Mother’s Day Amelia gave me a musical card that plays “Linus & Lucy” from the Peanuts cartoon. She had so much fun opening and closing the card that it broke and wouldn’t stop playing music! We thought we were going to have to listen to it until the battery wore out, but Mark was able to fix it. I also got a funny card from Mark, a spa kit (which I am going to enjoy during my bubble bath later tonight), a small book filled with quotes about mothers (which Amelia tried to commandeer) and TWO bags of Dove chocolates! I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful family.
