I will of course continue to take pictures and post them on here, but I am not going to stress about making sure I get one every Tuesday. I have gone through her first two years, and I think that will be wonderful for her baby book. I will probably still write monthly letters until she is three, but I’ll just have to see about that. Taking the Tuesday pictures just has gotten to be more of a hassle than it should be – today I bundled her up and took her outside to play just so I could shove the camera in her face and try to get a “good” Tuesday picture. How sad is that? I should be taking her outside just to play and be a kid, not to take pictures of her. I think I will cut back on the weekend wrap up posts as well, so I can concentrate more on my family instead of making sure I get enough pictures for the blog.

Anyway, I just thought I would share that so none of our family or readers will worry that there wasn’t a picture posted today. Posts here will probably be a bit more sporadic, but I am hoping to concentrate more on quality instead of quantity. I hope nobody is disappointed!

This first picture was taken by Uncle Paul (actually, he took all but the last two), and is the “official” Tuesday picture. The rest of the pictures are just for fun! Amelia had a lot of fun playing with the balloons and we enjoyed rainbow cupcakes again this year in lieu of cake. We are glad Grandma B, Grandpa B and Uncle Paul were able to celebrate with us, and we wish that all of the rest of our Florida family could have celebrated with us as well. We know they were here in spirit though!

It isn’t supposed to get above 29 degrees F today, and Amelia and I have decided to stay in our jammies all day! I’ve got some plans for a yummy warm lunch, we might make cookies this afternoon, and I’m making a turkey pot pie for supper – it’s a perfect day for comfort food!

While we were folding clothes this afternoon, Amelia found my stash of Christmas presents! Thankfully most of hers are already wrapped and under the tree, but she managed to find the ONE gift that I hadn’t wrapped yet. I didn’t have the heart to tell her we couldn’t play with it!

Amelia will wear her winter hat all day every day, as long as we are inside. As soon as we go out the door (i.e. as soon as she NEEDS to wear it) she rips it right off of her head. She did the same thing with the sunglasses over the summer – they’re fun to play with but not fun to wear when you need to protect your eyes!
